About
Isle of Skye is a competitive Highland Dance school and performance group with studios in Dunedin and Spring Hill, Florida. Isle of Skye dancers have won many awards including Best Overall Production, Best Musical Interpretation and Best Over All Composition in the Choreomagic competition at the International Gathering of Scottish Highland Dance at Walt Disney World. They have performed at the Rialto Theater in Atlanta, the Sarasota Opera House and on News Channel 8's Daytime TV Show. Isle of Skye Highland Dancers have also performed twice with the world famous Red Hot Chilli Pipers on their North American tour.
CLASSES FOR LITTLE ONES:
Our studio is a small school with a warm, loving atmosphere. Classes help your child build flexibility, strength, balance, agility and confidence. Highland dance has many elements of ballet but we jump quite a bit more. Our instructor, Miss Lindsey has a Master's degree with over 20 years of teaching experience and a certification in Early Childhood Education!

WHAT IS HIGHLAND DANCING?
Highland Dance combines grace, strength, and tradition. You do not have to be Scottish to do this form of dance. Our students learn traditional Highland dance and choreography while getting all the positive benefits of exercise and strength building. When asked what dancers love most about our school, the top three responses are the sense of community and family, winning medals and trophies and the friendships they've made!
WHO CAN JOIN HIGHLAND DANCE?
Any student from age of 3 and up is welcome to join our Highland dance classes. No previous dance experience is necessary! Male and female dancers are welcome.
